Human Mobile Devices (HMD) has launched the HMD Touch 4G, which is the first hybrid phone in India, in an attempt to bring smartphone features to first-time digital users. The device retails at Rs 3,999 and is a combination of both affordability and modern tools of connectivity. It will be sold on 9th October in large retail shops, online stores.

HMD Touch 4G is aimed at students, blue-collar workers, and young adults who want to have an experience of connectivity but without the price of a full-fledged smartphone. The phone is an amalgamation of a smooth 3.2-inch touchscreen with cloud applications, video calling and live chat, the bridge between feature phones and smartphones. It even has a special SOS ICE key, meaning that it will have easy access to emergency services and Express Chat functionalities.

Camera, battery and added convenience:

The HMD Touch 4G has a rear camera of 2MP and a front one of VGA, making it easy to capture and share moments. The device is also Bluetooth enabled and has a 2000 mAh battery with quick charge, FM, MP3, and auto call record, as well as Type-C charging. It comes in cyan and dark blue, has a one-year replacement warranty and a jelly cover.

Smartphone features:

The HMD Touch 4G is based on the S30+ Touch platform, which provides a touchscreen interface that is intuitive and smooth. It has a collection of cloud applications such as news, weather, cricket scores, and HTML5 games like Tetris and Sudoku which can be accessed by the users. Express Chat also supports video and voice messages and group chats in 13 languages on Android and iOS. Wi-Fi and hotspot sharing are also supported on the phone.
