Chikkamagaluru Kannada Sahitya Parishad (Kasaapa) has taken a significant step by providing assistance for heart surgery of 25 poor children through its social work. Kasapa has joined hands to provide health services to children from families in financial distress. This humanitarian work has been widely appreciated by the public sector. This social service program undertaken with the aim of saving the lives of children has been recognized as a model work in Chikkamagaluru.
