With the war in the Middle East continuing to disrupt the supply of natural gas from the Gulf countries to India, the Centre said it was increasing state-wise allocations of kerosene and coal to be used as cooking fuel for households and commercial establishments, respectively.
Noting that bookings for LPG cylinders have shot up multifold due to misinformation and concern, the government also appealed to consumers to not fall prey to panic and avoid rush-booking of cylinders.
