There has been renewed uproar in Parliament over allegations of police lathi-charge on students protesting against the NEET question paper leak. Opposition members, including the Congress, raised slogans in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha demanding an urgent discussion on the incident. The opposition parties have demanded that the police be held accountable for their actions, disrupting the proceedings of both the Houses.
Sources have said that the monsoon session of Parliament is likely to start from July 20. This session is expected to discuss important bills, policy decisions and important issues of the country. There is a possibility of intense debate between the government and the opposition in several hearings. The official date of the session is expected to be announced soon.
