Minister Yathindra Siddaramaiah said that the final decision on the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu will be taken. He clarified that the government will hold necessary discussions on the instructions of the Cauvery Water Management Board and take an appropriate decision keeping in mind the state's strength.
The Cauvery water sharing issue has come up for discussion again in the CWRC meeting. Tamil Nadu is demanding the release of its share of water, while Karnataka has made it clear that it cannot release water in the current situation.
