In view of the continuous heavy rains, keeping in mind the safety of students, all Anganwadi centers, primary and high schools and PUC (up to class 12) colleges in Khanapur taluk of Belgaum district have been declared holiday on Tuesday (July 7). District Collector Mohammad Roshan has issued an official order in this regard.

A horrific incident took place in Belgaum district when a giant tree fell on a moving tractor. Due to heavy rain and wind, a large tree on the roadside suddenly fell on the tractor, creating a panic in the area.
A house wall collapsed in Belgaum due to heavy rains, and seven people inside the house escaped with a narrow escape. The incident has created panic and locals are moving to safer places.
The effects of heavy rains in Maharashtra's Western Ghats have also been seen in Nippani. Many connecting bridges are flooded, causing disruption to traffic. Officials have warned the public not to cross flooded bridges unnecessarily due to the overflowing of rivers and streams and the high water flow on the bridges. Keeping in mind the rainy situation, they have been requested to use safe routes.
