Minister Krishna Byre Gowda has clarified that the footpath clearance operation is continuing despite the opposition of traders. He has categorically stated that this action is inevitable in the interest of the public.
"More than 300 canned goods shops have already been cleared within the limits of Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation. The Municipal Corporation Commissioner said that clearance operations will be conducted every week for the first four months with the aim of controlling encroachments and ensuring smooth traffic flow in the city."
