The state government has no role in the process of intensive revision of special voters. This is a process that falls entirely under the jurisdiction of the Election Commission and there is no government interference, DCM Dr. G. Parameshwara has clarified.
The state government has emphasized on precautionary measures to face the challenges that may arise due to the possible Super El Nino effect. In this context, Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwar held an important meeting with his authorities and had a comprehensive discussion on many important issues including lack of rainfall, availability of drinking water, provision of fodder for cattle.

Home Minister Parameshwar has said that the opposition is natural when one party is in power. He opined that criticism and counter-criticism between the ruling and opposition parties in politics is a part of democracy and should be seen as a normal reaction.
Senior Congress leader G. Parameshwar Khadak has warned that the leadership confusion in the state should be cleared soon with the elections over. He is of the opinion that delay in the leadership issue is not right, a clear decision is needed.
One suspect has already been arrested while the police are searching for two others in connection with the killing of the Anekal real estate businessman.
