Another controversy has arisen in the SIR process. There have been allegations that BLOs have used school children during voter verification, a move that has sparked outrage in the public sector. There has been a demand for clarification from the authorities regarding the blunders in the process.
Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has accused the Congress government of deliberately trying to sabotage the SIR process in many parts of the state, including Ramanagara. He said that the irregularities taking place in Ramanagara district are proof of this and has strongly opposed the government.
The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process has begun across the state, with 12,38,314 census forms distributed to voters on the first day itself. In this process, which is being carried out with the aim of updating the voter list, officials are distributing the forms door to door. Election officials have appealed to eligible voters to fill the forms and submit them along with the necessary documents within the stipulated time.
The voter list revision process has received a significant boost. The Chief Minister has officially given the green signal for the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) work from his home, and the work of updating the voter list across the state has begun.
