ಕಳೆದ ತಿಂಗಳು ಉತ್ತುಂಗಕೇರಿದ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ವಿರೋಧಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಇರಾನ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಮಾರಕವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯಿಸಿದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಮೆರಿಕಾದ ಮಾಜಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಡೊನಾಲ್ಡ್ ಟ್ರಂಪ್ ಮಿಲಿಟರಿ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ಬೆದರಿಕೆ ಹಾಕಿದರು.
